Emailrs
A desktop mail and calendar client for Linux that keeps your mail on your own computer.
Emailrs is a personal project by Arda Uzun. It connects to your own mail and calendar accounts — Gmail and Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Yahoo and other standard (IMAP, CalDAV) servers — and lets you read, write, organize and back up your mail, and keep your calendar, in one window.
What it does
- Reads your mail safely. Every email is converted to plain, normalized text; no email HTML is ever rendered, and remote images and trackers are blocked until you allow them.
- Keeps everything local. Your mail and calendar are synced to a store on your own computer, in open formats you can back up and export.
- Shows your calendar. Day, week and month views, invitations answered from the mail, reminders.
- Filters spam and noise with a filter that runs on your computer.
- Optional AI help — sorting, priorities, summaries — only if you turn it on and choose a provider.
How it uses your Google account
When you add a Google account, Emailrs asks for access to Gmail and Google Calendar so it can show you your own mail and calendar, send the messages you write, and apply the changes you make. That data stays on your computer. Details are in the privacy policy.
Emailrs' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
